Sequence of operation: upon activation the solenoid retracts, the prove falls to the work area allowing the spring-loaded switch with roller to enter the detent on the probe shaft closing the circuit to the machines firing mechanism and allowing it to fire.

Sequence of operation: upon activation the air cylinder retracts, the probe falls to the work area where the shaft carriage meets the sensing collar causing a pneumatic signal to fire the machine. The start valve must be released and the prove returned to the up position before subsequent operation is permitted.
